Rob and I really enjoyed our visit to Brandon Camera Club last night, a very friendly club who meet fortnightly on a Wednesday evening between September to May at the Brandon Baptist Church Rooms in Brandon, Suffolk. http://www.brandoncameraclub.co.uk/

We presented Part 1 of our members’ workshop focusing on Close Up and Macro Photography. After a short introduction, instruction on techniques and an overview of various specialist equipment all of the members had the opportunity to take some of their own images using the ‘sets’ we brought with us. As well as a selection of botanical subjects we encouraged members to look for interesting shapes and textures using glass, straws, shells, brushes and an animal skull all using continuous lighting, backdrops, reflective surfaces and a light-box.

It was a very busy and productive evening and we had some excellent feedback. The members were very welcoming and we were well looked after with refreshments….. including cake! We are really looking forward to Part 2 in April. If your camera club would be interested in taking up one of our expert courses then read more about them on our Tuition for Camera Club’s page
